Joyce is the Director of Creative Services at the Sunday School Publishing Board in Nashville, Tennessee. The highlight of her job is designing the Sunday school curriculum for children ages two through eleven. Joyce volunteers as a Children’s Teacher at the Mount Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Joseph W. Walker III. Joyce serves as a member of the Visual Communications Advisory Committee at Nashville State Community College, where she teaches Graphic Processes as an Adjunct Instructor. Her proudest moments are the ones she shares with her three adult children and her two beautiful granddaughters.

Her Vision

In the year 2000, God began to reveal His divine call into ministry. It was that same year that The FrootBearer™ Series Ministry was conceived. Proverbs 22:6Deuteronomy 6:7Galatians 5:22-23, and John 15:5 became the ministry's foundational scriptures. In the years to come, God would use her talent for drawing and writing to take His Word around the world teaching others how to display Christ-like character. The FrootBearer-Character on Display Series™ of books are pint-sized parables demonstrating the character of Christ. Each parable is based on a scripture from the bible and colorfully illustrated in a paperback book giving parents the convenience of teaching Sunday school principals anytime and anywhere.

And So It Began...

In 2006, Joyce published her first book, “A Granny Goodness Day.” Over the next few years, Joyce published three other titles, “Rotten, but Not Forgotten”, “Puffed-up Pride”, and “Finish Line”, as well as, four supplemental activity books; and "The Race of Believing!" board game (coming soon!). In 2007, Joyce's ministry was interviewed on live television by Dr. Pauline Fuller from Atlanta’s 57 (WATC TV 57). In 2011, Joyce released her first FrootBearer™ children's book app which is available through the Apple Store. Since then, she has published two more titles in the Apple Store. Ensuring the vision of her ministry—Sunday school anytime, anywhere is relevant.

In the winter of 2012, Joyce placed 1st in the Children's Interactive Book App Contest with her book app, “Puffed-up Pride.”

In the spring of 2012, Joyce placed 2nd in the Children's Interactive Book App Contest with her third book app, “Finish Line.”

In 2014, Joyce partnered with the FaithUnity Street Paper to share a biweekly activity page featuring the Galatians 5:22-23 Gang™ with children all over the Nashville area.
